Goal. The goal of the research is to develop an algorithm for selecting main dimensions a traction permanent magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance motor. Methodology. A method determining motor, which combines analytical selection stator parameters and numerical field calculations rotor parameters. need check mechanical strength with NdFeB magnets in flux barriers shown. Results. article proposes expressions It determined that methods calculating magnetic circuit be developed order reduce time select Originality. For first sizes active parts motor power 180 kW drive wheels trolleybus are defined. Practical significance. As result parts, winding data design electric obtained results can applied when creating trolleybus.
